Alumni Weekend 2010 Date is Set - 9/24-9/25
The Date has been set. Alumni weekend is this September, with golf on Friday the 24th and the game on Saturday the 25th, and of course the party the evening of the 25th. Let's make it a good showing this year.
01/03/09 - Mikey and Julia tie the knot, welcome Michael Jr.
Mike Sayegh and his girlfriend of 10 years...ok, maybe not 10...got married back in January and welcomed their first child, Michael Jr. in April. Sorry for the delay...a piss poor effort on the part of this poster that will not happen again. Incidentally, if anyone has more pictures of the nuptuals either post them to the photo gallery section or email them to palmerm33@gmail.com.
06/21/09 - Hissey Drafted by Phillies
Dave Hissey, Class of 2009, was drafted in the 50th Round by his hometown Philadelphia Phillies. He will report to Clearwater, FL to begin playing on the Phillies' Rookie Ball team starting June 24.
07/07/08 - Pinckney signs with Blue Jays
Assigned to AA New Hampshire - Go get 'em, Pink.

06/06/08 - Frank Pfister drafted in 17th round
Congratulations to Frank Pfister, Class of 2008. Frank was drafted in the 17th round, #509 overall, by the Cincinatti Reds.

Frank is currently in rookie ball with the Gulf Coast League Reds. We wish him all the best.
04/14/08 - Glushon to make first AAA start
(Apr. 14) Former Emory University pitcher Jason Glushon will make his first start on the Triple-A level, as his Sacramento River Cats (of the Oakland Athletics organization) will be facing the Las Vegas 51s (of the Los Angeles Dodgers organization).

03/10/08 - Babb Signs with Brockton
Richard Babb '07 signed a professional baseball contract today with the Brockton Rox of the Can-Am League (http://www.brocktonrox.com/). Babb just came off a 2007 season that earned him All-Region honors en route to helping the Eagles to a National Runner-Up finish at the College World Series.
Babb's season starts in early May in Brockton, MA.

Emory baseball was well represented as Paul married his girlfriend Rachel in East Hampton, NY.
